At the time when Covid-19 was taking hold throughout the world, Mecc Alte UK recognised it had a responsibility to move from a transactional business model to one that focused on stepping-up, thinking about the wider community and those who use and need power. As such it introduced a pivot strategy with three priorities:
- Our People
Ensure safe working practices for our frontline production teams and the introduction of a Covid-19 employee portal, which enabled Mecc Alte to ramp-up communication on important updates including CEO Memo, FAQs, links to wellbeing EAP (employee assistance programme), training resources and mental health support.
- Our Customers
Work in synergy with our customers to ensure the supply of products and services in communities and for all its customers availability of alternators and flexible supply and individual payment terms were offered.
- Our Community
Introduction of ‘Our Family to Yours’ campaign reflecting the company’s family heritage and values. The campaign focused on providing useful information to continue to upskill technicians, distributors, power engineers, and the wider supply chain and business community. It also hosted a series of ‘Power for your Mind’ virtual talks (working with leading consultancy Momentum GB),
As we now return to a different normal, Mecc Alte UK is living by the lessons to maintain positive habits and embrace every opportunity. Together we take comfort in knowing that we all have the power to make a difference in the world.
