New horizons in India

It is almost two years since the Mecc Alte India factory was inaugurated in Pune, Maharashtra State, signalling the start of Mecc Alte’s new venture in the sub-continent. Production of three models, with outputs from 5 -70 kVA,  began in earnest in autumn 2010, aiming to bring Mecc Alte’s world-beating combination of quality, performance, and cost effectiveness to the growing Indian generator set market.

In this short period Mecc Alte India ramped production and sales steadily,  ensuring the worldwide quality, consistency and cost effectiveness that the Group is renowned for. In the last year alone the Company produced in excess of 15,000  Four Pole Industrial Alternators for both Domestic and Export markets, and its Range of Manufacture is now being enlarged from 70 kVA to 160 kVA, offering now a product solution to cover the 5 to 160 kva span.

With its vision to be Totally Focused and Totally Independent, Co.Mecc.Fin. S.r.l., the Holding Company of Mecc Alte Group,  has recently taken over 100% ownership of Mecc Alte India. By this move Mecc Alte shows its commitment not only to Mecc Alte India, but also to the Indian market, where it is  already becoming a significant  player.

Of course, the Company is also the Group’s distributor in India, and so by the addition of imported products can offer the whole enormous Mecc Alte product range, from 1 kVA  to 2500 kVA , in 2 , 4, 6, multipolar and PMG design, with more variants and specialised machines than any other alternator manufacturer.”
