THREE PHASE BRUSH – COMPOUND REGULATION
(6kVA – 55kVA / 50Hz) (7.2kVA – 65kVA / 60Hz)

The generators of this series are three-phase, with brushes and they are characterised by a compound-type regulation on the 3 phases; they have a high pickup capacity (motors startup: 1 HP X KVA). They have also good performances with a single phase connection: with the delta connection it is possible to obtain 70 % of the three phase rated load and 45 % star connection with neutralThese series have the stator or the rotor inclined in order to improve the wave form. The 2 pole rotors have a damping cage and all the windings of the stator have a shortened pitch to reduce the harmonic content.

THREE PHASE BRUSHLESS – COMPOUND/ELECTRONIC REGULATION
(22kVA – 82kVA / 50Hz) (26.5kVA – 98.5kVA / 60Hz)

The ECSP generators are brushless with a rotating field with salient poles and damping cage; static skewed armature with shortened pitch winding. The system is basically a three phase compound design, with the possibility of inserting the electronic AVIR by means of a simple connector. No modification or extra setting of the control system is required because the AVIR is a bi-directional electronic regulator capable of adding or subtracting excitation depending upon the needs of the machine. The unique feature of this regulation system is to provide fail safe operation.

When and if the AVIR fails the machine automatically reverts to its compound regulation system guaranteeing continuous function. The AVIR also provides protection against under speed, by reducing the voltage in relation to the speed, when the speed falls below 10% of the nominal. Thereby avoiding the dangers of overheating in the inductor when in a reduced speed situation.

The PE28 series has been designed to satisfy all those applications asking for an extremely compact alternator, that can be fitted in a volume much smaller than a conventional one. This will result in a smaller gen-set.
